KUALA LUMPUR: Uzma Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd (UESB), has received a contract from ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc.

       In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Uzma said the contract was for the provision of electric wireline logging equipment and services - non-rig assisted for ExxonMobil.

       The duration of the contract is two years commencing from Jan 13, 2022 until Jan 12, 2024.

       “The value of this enabling contract with no guarantee of call-offs shall be based upon the agreed rates and work order, if any, issued by ExxonMobil within the contract period,” Uzma said.

       It added that the contract was expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2022 and onwards until the expiry of the contract.

       Separately, Uzma has appointed Datuk Farisha Pawan Teh as independent and non executive director.

       Farisha, 52 has vast experience both in the public and private sector during the past 30 years.

       In addition to holding the position as a communication advisor to the Minister of Housing and Local government as well as a board of director on the Women Leadership Foundation, Farisha is also a senior partner and founder of an integrated brand solutions consultancy Stand Out Sdn Bhd.
