ISKANDAR PUTERI: The Johor government has allocated an additional RM11.1mil to all assemblymen and state constituency special coordination committees (JPKD).
Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad announced the additional allocation worth RM150,000 each to all 56 assemblymen and RM100,000 each to 27 JPKDs during the state assembly meeting held at Bangunan Sultan Ismail here on Sunday (Aug 22).
"I hope that this additional allocation can be used for community welfare in your respective constituencies," he added.
This is the fourth time Hasni has announced an allocation to assemblymen to better assist those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last month, the state government allocated RM4.15mil to all assemblymen and JPKDs with each of them receiving RM50,000 for this purpose.
During the first Ihsan Johor economic stimulus package, the state government gave all 56 assemblymen RM20,000 each.
Last year, the state government decided to triple the allocations for assemblymen to RM150,000 from RM50,000 under Johor Budget 2021.
