PETALING JAYA: BSL Corp Bhd has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two Singaporean nationals, namely, Jerry Tan Gim Moh and Tan Hoon Bee (vendors) to acquire SD Unify Pte Ltd, a Singaporean company.
The latter is principally involved in the business of manufacturing and repairing semiconductor foundry equipment.
The vendors are the legal and beneficial owners of the entire issued shares of Unify Pte Ltd.
According to the MoU, BSL Corp and the vendors intend to enter into negotiation in respect of the purchase of such controlling interest of the SD Unify by BSL Corp for such consideration sum to be negotiated and agreed upon by all parties.
Executive director of BSL Corp Hoo Wai Keong in a statement said, “Currently, BSL Corp has an existing foothold in the semiconductor sector.
“This acquisition of SD Unify would increase our exposure to this lucrative sector due to shortage of this product worldwide and the booming electric vehicle segment.
“This corporate manoeuvre will definitely increase revenue contribution from semiconductors and technology.”
