PUTRAJAYA: An Immigration officer claims he was threatened by anti-graft busters in connection with a case, which he was charged for at Kota Baru's Sessions Court.
The 29-year-old said he was charged on April 1 last year and pleaded not guilty to all three charges against him.
But based on the police report that went viral, he said several Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers had told him on Dec 2 and Jan 3 to plead guilty and offered a RM5,000 fine as a sentence.
He further explained he along with his wife felt scared and in danger following the threat. He then lodged a police report on Monday (Jan 9).
Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz confirmed the report.
"The case has been referred to the MACC's Integrity division for further action," he said when contacted.
