JOHOR BARU: Crossing state borders is expected to be possible in three weeks, says Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

       The Senior Minister (Security) said that the government has taken proactive steps to speed up Covid-19 vaccination to have 90% of the adult population fully vaccinated in the next three weeks.

       "Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that state borders can be crossed once 90% of the population are fully vaccinated.

       "As such, I have instructed the Armed Forces to work closely with the Health Ministry so we can reach the 90% target as soon as possible.

       "This includes having more combat medic vaccination teams to help the Health Ministry to vaccinate the public, including those from rural areas," he said, adding that the country's success in reaching its target depends on the commitment of all parties involved.

       He said this to the press after visiting the Ulu Tiram camp here on Saturday (Sept 25).

       He said that the SOP would be announced once 90% of the population has been fully vaccinated.
