THE grieving parents of a three-year-old boy killed on his family’s dairy farm have been cruelly taunted by vile trolls.

       A troll, believed to be a vegan, said little Ianto Jenkins “would still be here” if his family didn’t work in the dairy industry.

       The youngster was accidentally run over earlier this month by his dad’s pick-up truck while playing on his bike in the farmyard in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

       One of the disgusting messages to the family stated: "You run a dairy farm! One of the cruellest industries out there!

       “If you hadn't had such an evil industry perhaps your son would still be here! Millions of cows dying not just for their meat but their milk too (which we don't need).”

       The malicious messages, made via Facebook Messenger, have been reported to Dyfed-Powys Police.

       Ianto was in the yard at the family’s farm in the village of Efailwen, near Clunderwen, when the tragedy happened last week.

       His devastated parents, farmer Guto Sion Jenkins, 31, and Chloe Picton were preparing for their little boy’s funeral when they discovered the message which has caused outrage in the community.

       Samuel Kurtz, the Conservative Senedd Member for the area, said more "vile" messages had appeared on social media after Ianto's tragic death.

       He said: "I was angered when reading some of the insensitive comments that have appeared on social media over the last few days, many from faceless accounts and from people outside of the area.

       "These people hide behind anonymity, throwing vile messages at a grieving family.

       “Social media has so many positive benefits, but at times like this, when a small minority use a tragic accident to push their own extreme views, it shows that it is they who lack compassion, empathy and morality.

       “My thoughts, and all those of this community in West Wales, are with the family during this incredibly difficult time.”

       COPS INVESTIGATING

       Steve Evans, who lives in the village, claimed vegans were behind the post.

       He wrote: “Tragically last week a young child was killed in a terrible accident on a farm here in Pembrokeshire.

       “The family have had some wonderful support during this difficult time.

       “Unfortunately some vegans have decided to abuse the family on Facebook. Disgusting behaviour.”

       Police, coroner and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating how fun-loving Ianto died in the farmyard collision on August 3.

       The boy’s grandmother Meinir Jenkins said: “No one is to blame. Ianto was playing on his bike in the back yard and my son just didn’t know he was there.

       “He didn’t see him. He heard the sound of his pick-up hitting something and when he stopped and got out to look Ianto was lying on the ground motionless.

       “It’s just heartbreaking. Poor Guto, I don’t know how he’s going to live with this. He is completely devastated.”

       'WORST PAIN IN THE WORLD'

       Ianto’s mum Chloe posted pictures on Facebook of her little boy being cuddled by his older sister.

       She said: "I would do anything Ianto to have you back in my arms again - my heart is broken.

       “A week today I had the worst phone call of my life that you had been taken from me.

       “I still can’t get my head around that you have gone. The pain of losing a child is the worst pain in the world.”

       Mourners have been asked to wear something yellow - Ianto’s favourite colour - at his funeral on Saturday.

       A Dyfed Powys Police spokesman said the family had been left “distressed” by the message, which is adding to their grief.

       The spokesman said: “We are aware of one malicious message sent to the family following Ianto’s death.

       “Officers have spoken with the family regarding this. Following this conversation, we are not investigating the message.”
