A MUM has told how her kids are forced to “breathe in mould” every single day in their council house which has been plagued by damp for the last six years.
Lucy Bryant, 35, says she spends hours each month scrubbing down the walls and ceilings of her two-bedroom home in Fleet, Hants - but the stinking black stuff returns every time.

The mum-of-two has lived in the “soaking” property, run by Vivid Housing Association, for the last six years.
But despite repeatedly asking for help, she claims nothing is being done to address the root of the problem - and is now terrified for her two boys, two, and eight.
“To still be living like this six years down the line looking at mould every single day, winter or summer, I'm just absolutely fuming,” Lucy told the Sun Online.
“Nothing’s been resolved. I've got young children here that have to live and sleep in these conditions - above my two year-old’s cot is all black mould.
“They’re breathing in this mould - it’s not good for kids.”
Lucy believes the issue stems from poor insulation in her attic, where water “drips” from the roof.

She says the situation has got so bad she has had to throw away her children’s teddies, as well as photo frames covered in mould.
And according to the mum, the “entire contents of the loft needs binning”.
“It’s completely soaking wet in the loft, all our belongings are ruined and the mould comes back in about two weeks in all the rooms upstairs,” she explained.
“It’s going into all the bedrooms, the bathroom, the toilet. It’s getting to the point now where it’s not coming off the window frames at all.
“The black mould is solid.”
Lucy says surveyors have been to inspect her home but they only tell her she needs to ventilate the property more.
I usually use an extra strong mould and mildew blaster but it’s so strong that I’ve been cleaning before on ceilings and it’s dropped into my eyeballs - it feels like I’m going to go blind.

Meanwhile, the frustrated mum says she has the windows “on the latches in every single room” each day and keeps a dehumidifier on in her hallway for “12 hours a day”.
But although she tries to clean it regularly, Lucy "can't keep up" with the volume of mould which is "literally everywhere".
She explained: "Every two to three weeks I scrub it down. I'm at it for over an hour each time.

“More needs to be done with regards to finding out the root cause of it.
“It’s infuriating. I just want the situation resolved.”
Jonathan Cowie, Chief Operating Officer at Vivid, said: “We’re in contact with our customer to resolve the damp and mould issue in the property.
“We’re strongly committed to doing this as quickly as possible, and we will keep our customer regularly updated.”
Hampshire County Council has been approached for comment.
