PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry reported 23,100 new cases as well as 75 Covid-19 deaths on Monday (Feb 28).

       Out of the 23,100 cases, 22,802 were local and 298 were imported.

       Of the deaths, 25 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

       The highest number of deaths were recorded in Selangor with 22, Johor (13) and Sabah (11).

       There are 293,423 active cases as of midnight, with 7,881 hospitalised.

       Of the 7,881 patients, 361 are in intensive care units and 193 require respiratory assistance.

       The total number of cases recorded in the country is now 3,442,736.
