SEREMBAN: Ampangan assemblyman Datuk Dr Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek has rubbished talk that he is planning to quit PKR with three other state representatives from the party.
"Talk that I am quitting PKR is not true," said the state investment, industrialisation, entrepreneurship, education and human capital committee chairman in a WhatsApp message on Monday (Sept 6).
An earlier message claimed that Mohamad Rafie and three other PKR assemblymen would be holding a press conference to announce their decision to leave the party.
The three are Datuk M. Ravi (Seri Tanjung), Datuk Michael Yek (Chuah) and Datuk Ismail Ahmad (Labu).
A statement bearing the state PKR Information logo had gone viral, claiming that the four were among 15 party members who had lost confidence in the leadership of state PKR chief Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who is also Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar.
Mohamad Rafie also said state PKR members had full confidence in the leadership of party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and any problems they had could be resolved internally.
