SIBU: Police have received nine reports pertaining to the desecration of seven graves at Bukit Aup cemetery here so far.

       Acting Sibu OCPD Supt Dr Collin Babat said on Wednesday (April 6) that two reports were lodged at the end of March and another seven in April.

       He refuted allegations that the police did not take action after the two reports were lodged in March.

       “We received two reports at the end of last month and opened two investigation papers under Section 297 of the Penal Code. The investigation is still ongoing,” he said.

       Supt Collin also called on the public to provide them with any information on the case.
