KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will be seeking clarification from the European Union (EU) delegation to Malaysia on the decision by some member states not to recognise the Sinovac vaccine, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

The Health Minister said many countries recognise Sinovac vaccine recipients and have allowed them to enter.

"Travellers vaccinated with Sinovac are allowed to enter Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"So we will seek further information on this decision with the EU delegation to Malaysia," he said at a press conference in Parliament.

He added that Malaysia will also ask the EU to explain on two Malaysians who were denied entry into Germany because they were Sinovac recipients.

Khairy said the MySejahtera app will soon be recognized by EU member states as a proof of vaccination.
