KUALA LUMPUR: Dialog Group Bhd 's consortium has accepted a contract for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works for Petronas Chemicals Fertiliser Kedah Sdn Bhd valued at RM724mil.

       In a bourse filing, Dialog said its wholly owned subsidiary Dialog E&C Sdn Bhd has a 30% interest in the consortium with Technip Energies (M) Sdn Bhd.

       It said the parties will construct a new single-train melamine plant, including of modification of existing plant and utilities to meet the project requirements.

       The project is expected to commence in February 2022 and completion by second half of 2024.

       "The project is not expected to have any effects on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholding of Dialog.

       "The project, however, is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Dialog for the financial years ending June 30, 2022 onwards until the completion of the project," said Dialog.
