GILGIT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan has convened a meeting of the PTI’s parliamentary party in Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly in Peshawar on Saturday (today) in an attempt to patch up differences between Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan and some members of his cabinet.
The chief minister recently removed GB’s finance minister Javed Ali Manwa and started action against other disgruntled members.
The GB chief minister, Speaker Amjad Hussain Zaidi and Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmed have been invited to the meeting.
The PTI chief summoned the meeting after learning that the deputy speaker, finance minister, information minister Fatullah Khan and a number of legislators have been at loggerheads with the chief minister for the last six months. This has brought decision-making to a standstill.
