GOPENG: Printed versions of the digital Covid-19 vaccination certificate found on the MySejahtera app are not recognised, says Deputy Health Minister Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali.

       He said the government only recognises the certificate on the app installed on smartphones or the white card issued by the Health Ministry once the vaccination process is completed.

       "The ministry has not allowed anyone to issue or sell printed versions of the digital certificate. This is a fraud," he said when asked about printed versions of the digital certificate being sold for between RM12 and RM15.

       "People just need to show their certificate (on the MySejahtera app) on their mobile phones or the white card if they are stopped at roadblocks or being asked to show proof at eateries.

       "Some folks have even laminated the white card," he after visiting the vaccination centre here on Wednesday (Aug 11).

       Dr Noor Azmi added that the Health Ministry's inspectorate and legal department and the police would investigate the matter.
