PETALING JAYA: National Security Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad, in his daily statement said that as of Oct 19, no new EMCO and extensions of EMCOs have been announced.

       The country recorded 5,745 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (Oct 19).

       Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement today said the national infectivity rate remained stable within 0.80 to 0.90 in the past week.

       Hospital and quarantine centre capacity also saw about 1% to 3% improvements between week 40 and week 41.

       Dr Noor Hisham, however, said the improving trend should not be a reason for the public to take things for granted.
