A DISABLED couple in Kulai, Johor, has received help in finding lodgings, reported Malaysia Nanban.
J. Logeswaran, 37, said he had a fall when he was 19 which left him with broken legs.
When the injuries failed to heal properly, both his legs had to be amputated below the knees, leaving him wheelchair bound.
However, his disability did not stop him from meeting his future wife M. Anjalai Devi, who is also disabled, online.
The couple got married in 2019.
Kulai MIC chairman S. Suppiah and his deputy Datuk Seri N. Sivadass, who met the disabled couple at their rented home, helped find them a unit at a low-cost public housing project.
> Malaysia Nanban also reported that four people were killed in two different fights during the Holi festival celebration in India.
The festival, which heralds the arrival of spring, would often see people smear each other with coloured powder and water.
During such an event in Uttar Pradesh, a dispute between two groups ended in two men, identified as Rahul Sonkar, 35, and Sanjay, 25, getting beaten up and shot to death.
In Rajasthan, two men identified as Sham, 23, and Hrithhari, 30, were stabbed to death during a fight.
