JOHOR BARU: A special Covid-19 task force will be set up in Johor to improve the management of the pandemic in the state, says Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.
The Johor Crown Prince said the decision to set up the task force was made in a meeting on Thursday (Sept 9).
"I had a meeting today with World Health Organisation Science Council member Prof Datuk Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman and Dr Dhesi Baha Raja.
"As a result of the meeting, I decreed for a Special Covid-19 Task Force to be formed at state level in Johor," he said in a statement on Facebook.
He said that the task force would comprise several agencies such as the state Health Department, Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force, state government and experts.
"It will be led by me personally to monitor and improve Covid-19 pandemic management in Johor," he added.
