Transport Secretary Grant Shapps and MPs are set to discus the current travel restrictions today. The review could see more holiday destinations added to the green list, enabling Britons to plan their summer holidays.
Mr Shapps said ministers "need to look at what the science says” in order to make an informed decision.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said ministers were “working on” allowing quarantine-free holidays for double-vaccinated people.
He told Sky News: “This hasn’t been clinically advised yet – we’re working on it.
“We’re working on plans to essentially allow the vaccine to bring back some of the freedoms that have had to be restricted to keep people safe.
“After all, that’s the whole purpose of the vaccination programme, that’s why it’s so important that every adult goes out and gets the jab.”
The potential move offers a lifeline to travel sector businesses who took part in a National Day of Action on Wednesday in a desperate plea to the Government.
The industry demanded financial support from the Government and a "clear roadmap out" of the ongoing travel restrictions.
Hundreds of airplane crew, pilots and travel agents protested outside Westminster in a bid to trigger a response.
