A national cannabis company announced Monday an agreement to buy Chicago-based Dispensary 33 for $55 million.
Ayr Wellness would acquire two dispensaries in the deal, one in Andersonville and one on West Randolph Street in the West Loop.
Purchase consideration is expected to consist of $55 million upfront, including $12 million in cash, $3 million in seller’s notes and $40 million in stock.
Dispensary 33 was one of the most successful independent dispensaries left in Illinois before the deal.
