PETALING JAYA: The total number of doses for the Covid-19 vaccines administered throughout the country has crossed the seven-million mark.

       According to the Special Committee For Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV), a total of 1,966,358 individuals have completed two doses of the vaccine while another 5,072,714 have received their first shot.

       The five states with the highest number of double-dose recipients were Selangor with 262,635 individuals, followed by Sarawak (202,741), Johor (201,340), Perak (181,545) and Kuala Lumpur (170,594).

       A total of 215,968 doses were administered on Friday alone, involving 148,380 first-dose recipients and 67,588 second-dose recipients.

       This number is slightly less than the over-250,000 mark in daily doses achieved in the three consecutive days between June 22 and 24.
