A man driving a horse-drawn buggy was killed in Southern Maryland on Wednesday in a collision with a pickup truck, authorities said. The driver of the truck left the scene on foot, the St. Mary’s County sheriff’s office said.

Henry Brubacher Stauffer, 65 of Loveville, Md., was thrown from the buggy in the crash Wednesday in Loveville and died at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
The collision occurred at about 7:30 a.m. near Point Lookout and Loveville Roads, according to the sheriff’s office.
The pickup was going south on Point Lookout Road when it crossed the centerline and collided with the buggy, the sheriff’s office said.
The crash is under investigation, the sheriff’s office said. They said they are trying to find the driver of the truck.
