IPOH: Those going for their second dose of the vaccine via the drive-through kiosk at the Indera Mulia Stadium can drive there on their own.
Perak Health director Datuk Dr Ding Lay Ming said a vaccine recipient can go to the drive-through kiosk without needing a designated driver.
“I have instructed the district Health Department to revert to what it was.
“We will supervise the observation parking area more closely,” she said on Friday (July2).
Earlier, several folk, including members of the press who drove alone for their second dose, were stopped at the first checkpoint instead of being allowed to drive through.
They were then asked to go to the vaccination centre inside the stadium to receive their jab.
It is learned that it was advisable to have a designated driver when going for the jab in case of side effects.
