KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) has administered 44,853 doses at 13 drive-through vaccination centres nationwide, says Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
The Senior Minister (Security) said eight of these centres are located in Peninsular Malaysia, two in Sarawak and three in Sabah.
"Besides deploying the l Combat Medic Vaccination Team (CMVT), the Armed Forces also conducted drive-through vaccinations to assist the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme," he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (Sept 8).
Hishammuddin, who is also Defence Minister, said the capacity for administering the vaccines would be increased.
"The Armed Forces is only waiting for confirmation of the locations by the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF)," he said.
