KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Covid-19 cases dropped to below 50 yesterday, registering 48 infections compared to 60 the day before.
State Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Masidi Manjun said this is the lowest daily figure recorded since March 30, last year.
“All districts are seeing stabilising cases with minimal changes to the figure of their daily cases.
“Only Kota Kinabalu recorded double-digit infections at 21 cases, while the rest of the districts reported new cases below five.
“There are no new infections (zero cases) at 11 districts,” he said.
Masidi attributed the low cases to the effectiveness of the vaccines among Sabah folks, as well as high standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance practised.
“It is hoped this highly disciplined culture is maintained, especially when we celebrate Hari Raya soon,” he added.
