And 45 per cent live with a bed cover hogger.
Other types of partner keeping us awake include face breathers, phone checkers and starfish.
Nine per cent are irked by a partner who moves around so much that they end up with their head at the foot of the bed — and their feet in your face.
And half of us have had to sleep elsewhere to get a good night’s kip.
The survey by Dreams also found sleeping on your side and after doing exercise was best for rest.
Sleep expert Sammy Margo said: “Compatibility with our sleeping partner is really important in influencing the quantity and quality of our sleep.”
