The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement, said that two deaths were also reported.
"A 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy in Serian succumbed to the disease on March 24 at Serian Hospital," it said.
The second death involved a 51-year-old man in Sibu. The patient with comorbidities also suffered from high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic liver disease and dyslipidemia. He died at Sibu Hospital on March 25.
Meanwhile, the committee said that in line with the country progressing into the endemic stage of the disease on April 1, the state government has come up with several protocols for the opening of the state border through air travel.
