PETALING JAYA: Selangor’s strategic investment arm, Menteri Besar Selangor Inc (MBI), has inked an investment agreement with Wavpay Fintech Holdings Sdn Bhd to develop e-services in the state that connect all service and social-related financial initiatives.
In a statement yesterday, MBI said this initiative was in line with Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari’s mission to develop a cashless society in the state.
“The implemented programme will be formed between the state government and existing e-wallet companies, complete with money lending licensing from Bank Negara and the Housing and Local Government Ministry,” it said.
