KUALA LUMPUR: JF Technology Bhd 's subsidiaries have entered into separate agency agreements with South Korea's ISC Co Ltd for the sale and distribution of the latter's test contacting solutions products in China, Malaysia and Asean.

       Meanwhile, the subsdiaries, JFH Technology (Kunshan) Co Ltd and JF Microtechnology Sdn Bhd, expect to become original equipment manufacturers of spring probes test sockets under JF Tech's own brand name.

       The test socket housing will be integrated with ISC's cutting-edge spring probe pins in the third quarter of FY22, it said in a statement.

       According to JF Tech managing director Datuk Foong Wei Kuong, JF Tech is one of the world's leaders in two of the four essential segments in the test socket market space, namely the short rigid and cantilever sockets.

       ISC meanwhile is the world leader in the two other major segments, which are the silicone rubber sockets for memory and spring probes sockets for micro processors and universal test applications.

       With the agency appointment, JF Tech will have all four major test socket offerings, providing a complete one-stop solutions to our customers, he added.

       "Essentially, it’s a big plus for us as we can increase our sales and generate additional recurring income through the test consumables, which is recurring sales given the massive market size and high demand for such products.

       "These two product lines are more than 10 times the market size of Short Rigid Pin and Cantilever combined," said Foong.
