PETALING JAYA: Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) has questioned the extent of the engagement session with stakeholders on the pilot project to test the MySubsidi Diesel System and Fleet Card System.

"I have asked the Domestic Trade and Costs of Living Minister what was the extent of the engagement session in giving exposure to pilot companies on the guidelines for applying for quotas and reporting using the system," said the Ayer Hitam MP on Facebook on Tuesday (March 5).

The minister, in his reply, said the pilot project began last year and involved 10 types of public land vehicles and nine types of goods-carrying land vehicles.

He said two sessions were held with six companies involved in transporting goods on Jan 2 and 4 this year.

"For the five other oil companies, discussions began in 2023 to improve the Fleet Card System to ensure it could support the MySubsidi Diesel System managed by the ministry.

"The pilot companies have begun using the fleet card from the selected oil companies at petrol stations at RM2.15 a litre.

"Discussions were also held with industries with vehicles carrying goods, pilot companies and oil companies on Feb 8 to receive direct feedback from the industry and issues that arose from the implementation of Subsidised Diesel Control System 2.0 (SKDS 2.0)," the reply continued.

The minister said a joint workshop was held with the Finance and Transport Ministries, Road Transport Department and Public Land Transport Agency on Monday and Tuesday this week to review the basic quota and types of vehicles which need to be added to reduce the exclusion error when SKDS 2.0 is fully implemented.
