KUALA LUMPUR: Police have detained 82 people, mostly foreigners, after a raid at an entertainment outlet in Bukit Bintang here.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya, in a statement, said that the raid was conducted on March 17 at around 11.30pm.
Investigations showed that the outlet did not comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) of Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan (NRP)
"Of the 82 people detained, 30 were locals. The locals have been issued compound notices of RM1,000, while the foreigners are being investigated under the Immigration Act and the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021,” he said on Friday (March 18).
ACP Dellhan urged all to adhere to the set Covid-19 SOP.
