KUALA LUMPUR: Forty-eight patrons at an entertainment outlet here were issued with compound notices during an early morning police raid on Saturday (Feb 26).
Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah said that the raid was conducted along Jalan Yew at 1.10am.
The outlet, which was operating without a licence, was also found to have flouted Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
“The shopkeeper was detained for failing to produce a valid business licence. Thirty-three men and 15 women were issued with compound notices for going against Covid-19 SOPs,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
The police also seized various equipment including a speaker and amplifier.
