KUCHING: Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri(pic) has pledged to continue efforts to revive the tourism sector after being reappointed as the Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister in the Cabinet.
"As the Prime Minister has stated, all ministers must prove their performance within the first 100 days. Insyaallah, I will do my best to face the challenge of assisting the tourism and culture sector," she said on Friday (Aug 27).
Nancy also thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for entrusting her to continue serving in the Cabinet.
She is one of four ministers from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) retained in the new line-up.
The others are Senior Minister (Works) Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and former Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, who has been appointed as Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law).
