KOTA KINABALU: Diplomats and expats as well as their dependents living in Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak and Labuan can now enter Sabah for social visits without entry permits.
Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in the state, Datuk Masidi Manjun said they must, however possess valid Immigration passes to enter Sabah.
Holders of MyPR (outside Sabah), entry permit card, entry permit endorsements can also come into Sabah for social visits without a special permit, he said.
They must produce their passports at the Immigration checkpoints upon arrival, he said.
These rules come into effect on Nov 3.
Meanwhile, Masidi said Sabah recorded 549 new Covid-19 cases with four deaths on Nov 2.
He said over 74% of adults have received full doses of the Covid-19 vaccines while some 64% of teens have been fully vaccinated to date.
Sabah also recorded a 97% SOP compliance rate on Nov 2.
