Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence is celebrating his milestone birthday today as he turns 70.
Princess Anne's husband has become a beloved member of the Royal Family since their marriage in 1992.
The royal couple married at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral Castle in Scotland on December 12.
Sir Tim, as he is otherwise known, has accompanied his wife on many royal occasions and tours abroad, even though recently, he had to take a break after suffering an injury.
Here, the Express takes a look at some of Sir Tim's most iconic pictures as the beloved royal celebrates his birthday.
The retired British naval officer met King Charles's sister sometime in the 1980s while she was still married to her first husband, Mark Phillips, with whom she shares two children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips. At the time, he was serving as equerry to her mother, the late Queen Elizabeth. Anne and Mr Phillips announced their separation in 1989, and it was only a few months later that private letters between them were brought to the spotlight by The Sun, and, making their relationship public.

In April 1992, the Princess Royal's divorce from Mark Philips was finalised, and a few months later, in December, she remarried Sir Tim in Scotland, which permitted the marriage of divorcees, unlike the Church of England. Their wedding marked a change for a different approach towards marriage. A few decades later, the late Queen's sister, Princess Margaret, could not marry Captain Peter Townsend because he was a divorcé.

Anne's husband, who is not a working royal, did not receive a title after the wedding, but he was knighted in 2008 when he was made a personal aide-de-camp to the late Queen. The honour is only given to members of the Royal Family with military rank. He was also invested in 2011 as a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.
