According to AIipur SDPO Chudhry Fayyazul Haq, the police registered a case and launched an investigation.
Through mobile data analysis, police traced the suspects, leading to the arrest of three suspects from Jalalpur tehsil.
The alleged mastermind, Abid Ali, was found in possession of the murder weapon—a pistol—along with the car used in the crime and a fake number plate.
SDPO Haq said that Arayan was attempting to reconnect with his ex-wife, who had since developed a relationship with Abid Ali.
To prevent the reunion, Ali allegedly detained Arayan for two days before killing him.
Six suspects, including the ex-wife of the deceased, are in custody as the investigation continues.
