KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC) has received a one-year contract extension from the Ministry of Home Affairs effective July 1, 2021 with the revised value of RM95.98 million.

       The contract, originally secured in October 2016, is for the provision of integrated maintenance and logistic support services for three units of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency’s Dauphin helicopters.

       "Apart from the extension of the contract period and revision of the contract value, there are no significant differences between the substance of the contract and the extended letter of agreement (LOA),” it said in a stock exchange filing.

       The contract and the extended LOA will contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021.

       At the close of Bursa Malaysia trading today, BHIC shares declined 1.5 sen to 54 sen with 89,100 shares transacted.
