KUALA LUMPUR: Datasonic Group Bhd 's unit has received extensions on its contracts for the supply of Malaysian passport chips, documents and polycarbonate biodata pages to the Home Affairs Ministry.
The ICT solutions provider said in a bourse filing that the original three contracts, awarded to Datasonic Group Technologies Sdn Bhd, had been due to expire on Nov 30, 2021, but had been extended for 24 months to Nov 30, 2023.
There was no change to the quantity of the items supplied or the value of the contracts, which comes to a combined RM812.84mil.
Datasonic said the contracts are expected to contribute positively towards its future earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending March 31, 2020, and therafter for the duration of the contracts.
At 3.30pm, the stock was trading one sen or 2.06% lower at 47.5 sen a share for a market capitalisation of RM1.28bil.
