SEREMBAN: A total of 130 companies in the industrial sector in the state have registered almost 34, 900 of their employees for Covid-19 vaccination under the Public-Private Partnership Covid-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (Pikas).
State industrial, investment, education, human capital and entrepreneurship committee chairman Datuk Dr Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek said of these, 10, 780 have received their first dose of the vaccine.
These workers received their shots at the d’Tempat Country Club, the first such centre under Pikas which started operations on July 5.
“We are planning to open the state’s second Pikas centre at D’Cattleya Senawang on July 19.
“This is to expedite the vaccination process for workers in the industrial sector, ” he said in a statement.
Mohamad Rafie said the vaccination process for all the workers should be completed by the end of September.
