JOHOR BARU: Thirty-five factory workers escaped unhurt while 10 others suffered minor injuries when the bus they were travelling in met with an accident.
Tebrau Fire and Rescue station chief Shamsul Khomari Bakar said they received an emergency call at 10.39pm on Thursday (March 10).
“The factory bus skidded and overturned near a private specialist hospital in Bandar Dato’ Onn near here," he said in a statement Friday (March 11).
Shamsul said 24 firemen were deployed led by senior officer II Mohd Azami Yaakob.
He said two Fire Rescue Tender vehicles, two Emergency Response Medical Services vehicles and one Fire Rescue Vehicle from the Tebrau, Kempas and Larkin stations were used in the operation.
“The factory workers received help from members of the public before our team arrived on the scene," he added.
He said the 10 injured workers were sent to Hospital Sultan Ismail in Pandan here and the operation ended at 11.10pm.
