KLANG: The father of Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari's father has passed away on Tuesday (Sept 21).

       Shari Mokhsin, 67, passed away due to breathing complications.

       His remains will be buried at Kampung Parit Asam Kumbang in Pontian, Johor on Wednesday (Sept 22) morning.

       His death was announced in a statement issued by Amirudin's political secretary Juwairiya Zulkifli.

       Amirudin tweeted that he last communicated with his father at 1.27pm through WhatsApp and he received the news of his father's death at 5.30pm.

       "Since I was a child I had always imagined how I would be able to continue when someone close passes away, accepting fate that death is a must for the living," he tweeted.

       The late Shari was a retired Johor Drainage and Irrigation Department employee.

       Amirudin is the second of his six children.

       He leaves behind his wife Urian Parmin, six children and 21 grandchildren.
