A 15-year-old boy was charged with 11 felony counts of armed robbery in connection with a rash of robberies that happened throughout the city in August, Chicago police said.
Police said the teen was charged in a string of armed robberies that happened over several hours on Aug. 20 between about 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., police said.

In the first robbery, a 29-year-old woman was the victim of armed robbers in the 600 block of West 63rd Street in the Englewood neighborhood. Police said the boy was identified as one of the suspects in the following robberies also:
About 12:35 a.m., a 43-year-old man in the 3600 block of West Lake Street. About 1:30 a.m., a 54-year-old man in the 1400 block of North Central Avenue. About 2:45 a.m., a 38-year-old man in the 1900 block of West 79th Street. About 3 a.m., a 39-year-old man in the 7900 block of South Racine Avenue. About 3:50 a.m., a 26-year-old man in the 600 block of East 79th Street. About 4 a.m., two women, both 28, in the 500 block of East 79th Street. About 5:30 a.m., two men, ages 24 and 22, in the 3400 block of South Ashland Avenue. About 5:40 a.m., a 31-year-old man in the 1000 block of West 35th Street. The boy’s name was not released because he is a juvenile.
