A man has died after crew members forcibly removed him from a ferry after he arrived late, according to reports.
The 36-year-old passenger was seen running onto the ferry from Piraeus to Heraklion, Crete, just moments before it left the dock.
Crew from the Blue Horizon were seen pushing the man off the ferry in a video, with him falling into the water as the boat left the dock.
The ferry company Attica Group said they are "shocked by the tragic incident" in a statement.
It is believed the ferry travelled for 40 to 50 minutes before being instructed to turn back following the incident.

In the footage, the man appears to fall between the ramp and the pier into crashing waves below.
The body of the man, whose name has not been released, was found a while later following a search.
It is thought the passenger was too late boarding as the ship was ready to depart.
A passenger who witnessed the incident said crew members pushed the man three times before he fell into the water, according to Greece media outlets.
