KUALA LUMPUR: Telecommunications infrastructure company, Bullish Aim Sdn Bhd has entered into a collaboration agreement with Allo Technology Sdn Bhd to increase fibre connectivity to more homes and businesses in the state of Johor.

Allo is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

In a joint statement Thursday, it said the partnership would enable Bullish Aim to expedite Johor Digital Initiatives at an accelerated pace with the fibre infrastructure from Allo.

“The new fibre infrastructure expansion will allow Allo to offer this new network to telecommunication operators to rapidly expand their respective market reaches and provide high-speed broadband products and convergence services to more homes and offices in Johor,” it said.

Bullish Aim chief executive officer Datuk Lion Peh said: “With the proliferation of consumer and enterprise technology, there are ample growth opportunities as it is imperative in today’s world that homes and offices are connected to high-speed and reliable internet.”

He added that the partnership was a significant step in line with the National Digital Network’s (Jendela) objectives to increase coverage of high-speed broadband services.

Meanwhile, Allo CEO Rodzi Ahmad said the collaboration between both parties was vital in speeding up the rate of bringing fibre connectivity to homes and businesses at underserved areas in Johor.

“The partnership will benefit both parties in accelerating Johor’s fibre roll out, allowing Bullish Aim to achieve its aim for digital initiatives in the state.

“Together, we can expand fibre network connectivity, benefiting the people of Johor especially in underserved areas, at a faster and a more affordable rate,” Rodzi said.

The plan includes roll out to over 50,000 home passes in several areas in Johor, including Kulai, Pasir Gudang, Masai, Cahaya Baru and Kota Tinggi this year.
