A MAN has died and multiple children hurt after a horror crash involving a fire engine that was driving to an emergency.
Three children were rushed to hospital after a five-car pile-up in Crowland, Lincolnshire yesterday.

Cops are now urging witnesses to come forward.
Lincolnshire Police this morning confirmed one man had been killed in the crash, which happened on the A16 near the junction with the B1040.

The force said three children had been raced to hospital but did not give any update on their condition.

It said their injuries were "not thought to be life-threatening".
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue today confirmed one of their trucks had been involved in the smash.
Response manager Spencer Creek said the crew had been on their way to another crash when the horror unfolded.
He said: “At around 12.40 on 3 March, while travelling to provide support at a road traffic emergency, one of our fire appliances and crews were involved in a collision.

"The incident resulted in a driver of another vehicle tragically losing their life. Our thoughts and condolences are with those that have been affected by this incident.
"A police investigation is taking place.”
Cops said four of the vehicles had been travelling south towards Peterborough, while one was travelling north.
Lincolnshire Police said: "We attended a five-vehicle collision on the A16 near to the junction with the B1040 yesterday afternoon. The collision was reported to the Force Control Room just after 12.40pm.
"Sadly, one man has died. His family have been informed by officers. Three children have been taken to hospital.
"The vehicles involved are a grey Peugeot 308, a silver Kia Sportage, a black Mercedes, a grey Volkswagen Transporter and a red Scania Fire Engine. The grey Peugeot, silver Kia Sportage, black Mercedes and Fire Tender were all travelling southbound in the direction of Peterborough.
"The VW Transporter was travelling north towards Spalding. The road was closed at the time and reopened later in the evening."
The force asked people with dashcam or other video footage that may have been snapped in the area prior to the smash.
They continued: "We would also like to speak to anyone who has witnessed the collision or has recorded footage that will assist our investigation.
