PETALING JAYA: A total of 659 people were issued compound notices while 20 others were remanded for movement control order violations on Monday (June 28).
Senior Minister (security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said among the violations committed were not wearing face masks (96), interstate/inter-district travel and dining-in (129), failure to register before entering a premises (117), ferrying too many passengers (47), no physical distancing (184), not complying with movement restrictions (57), premises failure to comply with orders (eight) and 42 other offences.
"The compliance operations task force led by the police, comprising 20,717 of the personnel divided into 4,737 teams conducted 93,459 checks.
"Meanwhile under Ops Benteng, 14 foreigners had been arrested with six vehicles seized while 994 roadblocks were also conducted nationwide.
On disinfection operations, he said 101 were conducted involving 42 red zones, seven orange zones, and one yellow zone.
"The operations were conducted by 582 Fire and Rescue Department staff members, 236 local government personnel and 123 fire engines.
"Cumulatively, 29,617 operations had been conducted since March 30 involving 157 zones," he said.
