Gaslighter-in-Chief Keir Starmer says that Brexit arguments are "tired", "stale" and "old". He reckons it's time to move one. Which is rich coming from the bloke who responded to our vote to leave the EU by demanding another referendum. His remarks in the Commons today were the political equivalent of punching someone in the nose from behind then running away shouting: "That's in the past!"
There's playing tennis without the net and then there's this. Starmer's deal with the EU is a huge capitulation in terms of migration, fishing rights and sovereignty. It's exactly the sort of stuff that caused people like me to vote Brexit. I was in equal measure disgusted and dispondent after that vote to see Remoaners try everything in Parliament to stop our exit becoming a reality.

It was patronising and a betrayal of suffrage to insist that what the majority of voters wanted couldn't happen. It was galling to see Remainers pretend that the actual democratic defecit in this country was exemplified by Boris Johnson's attempt to prorogue Parliament afterwards. It was like being told you're crazy when you know you're not.

So it's depressing to see that, after so many battles fought, we're back here again. Back with a political elite who refuse to countenance a future in which unelected bureaucrats don't have the power to tell us what we can and can't do. It's especially infuriating to be told that this is for our own good.

Sir Keir Starmer has proven himself the personification of 'one rule for me, another for thee'. Brexit isn't over when the Referendum votes are in. We need another vote!
But Brexit IS over once Drear Squirmer has done his grubby deal with the EU. A deal, by the way, that the French outfoxed him on at the last minute by demanding fishing rights in territory that doesn't belong to France.
I agree that the arguments for and against Brexit are tired. One reason they're tired is because they've been made exhaustively by both sides when one side should have accepted the original result.
Then the other wouldn't have to keep making the case and people wouldn't be so bored. We'd be cracking on like a proper country.

One person who clearly has never been bored by this debate is Sir Keir. His servile and frisky fixation with a bloc as dull as he is just won't go away.
While normal people have been fed-up of this debate, fed-up of being painted as racists, fed-up of being treated like children, Starmer's been growing steadily more excited at the thought of watching from the window after he's forced Britain back into bed with the bloc.
The tragedy for Starmer is that he might not be able to play the Peeping Tom for too long. Rather, we can hope that his spectacles lose their steam and his face twists in horror as he witnesses the first ever Reform UK government burst into that bedroom, tear Britain away from the clutches of this psychopathic ex and deliver her to the full sovereignty she enjoyed before this bad dream began.
