PETALING JAYA: The #RasuahBuster anti-corruption movement, which started as a fledgling cause earlier this year, is now receiving support from millions of members from 200 organisations across the country.
The coalition of organisations known as the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ said in a statement on Friday (July 23) that it aims to streamline efforts against corruption while promoting good governance and integrity across institutions and Malaysians.
"The focus has been to unite under the banner of 'Malaysia Tanpa Rasuah', calling corruption a 'moral pandemic' that is crippling the nation and must be reversed," it said.
On the growth, #RasuahBusters core team leader Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said he was encouraged by the massive support from society to the cause, including the youth of Malaysia who were "committed to fusing integrity into their belief system".
"Even though our journey has just begun, I pray there will be no place for corruption to hide any more.
"#RasuahBusters, together with its partners, is taking proactive steps to succeed in its core strategy by activating the following campaign-triggers and handles, which includes #RakyatBenciRasuah, #BeliaBenciRasuah, #PendakwahBenciRasuah, #KerajaanTanpaRasuah, #BisnesTanpaRasuah and #PilihanrayaTanpaRasuah," he said.
Hussamuddin said #RasuahBusters and its Coalition of the Willing were organising many programs to achieve its objectives and encouraged interested parties to come forward and work together to turn this into a national achievement.
