As part of Peterhead Scottish Week, the Red Arrows will take to the skies and fly across the North of England into Scotland today. This is the first time the Red Arrows have put on a display in Peterhead since 2018, and today's display will be a "big boost" for the town Peterhead Scottish Week chairwoman Karen Day has said.
Last year's Peterhead Scottish Week was celebrated entirely online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Of this year's going ahead as planned Ms Day said: “It’s something for the whole town to come together, I suppose it’s like a symbol of things are eventually getting back to normal.”
The RAF Red Arrows display will take place today at 7pm at Peterhead Bay.
Before the flypast, pipe bands will perform and there will be a kipper barbecue.

The Red Arrows have had a busy few months, with a flypast for the Queen's birthday celebration Trooping the Colour, and an air display for the G7 Summit in Cornwall.
Coming up this week the iconic planes will be spotted at Coningsby Families Day and Duxford Summer Airshow.
Coningsby Families Day will take place on Friday, July 23 and is "to recognise the impact service life has on the families of military personnel, and to thank those families for their support".
The Red Arrows will be flying over between 2.55pm and 3.35pm, and Express.co.uk will update this page with more information and route maps when it is available.
The Duxford Summer Airshow is taking place this weekend, on both Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25.
The Red Arrows will put on a display on both days, and ticket holders can enjoy "four hours of thrilling action, aerobatics and entertainment".
Performers include:
Flying on both Saturday and Sunday is scheduled to start at 1.30pm BST - however, this is subject to change based on weather conditions.
Express.co.uk will update this page with maps and flight information for the Red Arrows when this is available.
Luckily for those wanting to head to the airshows this weekend, the warm, sunny weather mostly looks to be continuing.
There is a risk of some showers, however, with the Met Office forecast over Friday and Saturday reading: "Dry and sunny for most Friday, remaining hot in the west with isolated showers.
"Rain and heavy showers spreading across southern regions through Saturday and Sunday. The north remaining fine."
