Autumnal storms have brought heavy rain to Wales overnight. This has led to a flood warning on a section of the M4. One lane of the M4 is now closed between junction 43 Llandarcy and junction 42 Earlswood because of flooding.

       Traffic Wales South tweeted: "Flood Warning!

       "M4 both directions J43 Llandarcy to J42 Earlswood.

       "Lane 2 closed in both directions due to flooding.

       "Please proceed with care and always drive to the conditions of the road."

       Flood warnings have been in place in many areas of the UK over the last 24 hours.

       A “danger to life” warning was issued by the Met Office in Cumbria on Thursday.

       Some areas of Cumbria were hit by up to 13 inches of rain in 24 hours.

       The flooding has caused major delays on train lines and affected services running to Glasgow.
