PUTRAJAYA: A total of 28,287 flood victims have received cash aid from the government under the Bantuan Wang Ihsan programme.

       Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the figure was as of noon on Monday (Jan 3).

       “Those who have yet to register or receive the aid should immediately contact their district officers for immediate government assistance,” he said in his Twitter post on Monday (Jan 3).

       The Prime Minister had recently announced a slew of assistance for flood victims, including increasing the Bantuan Wang Ihsan (BWI) payment from RM500 to RM1,000 per household.
